  A memorable post for me on a topic I had thought I was tired of, and a look at laurelleap suggested the same site can refresh other tired topics, sites that can revive my interest in subjects I had written off as exhausted are doing rare work and this one is clearly doing that for me today.

I could visit a coastal village one day, and another for a manageable walk if the forecast cooperates. The bus schedules look workable on paper, although I cannot tell how much time to allow for transfers, stops, and a relaxed lunch. For a first outline I found 3 days in madeira without a car and it helped me list possible places rather than commit to a rigid schedule. Would you leave the final day unplanned around Funchal, in case mountain cloud or a missed connection changes the earlier plans? I may book a guided transfer for one walk, while another option is to keep every outing reachable by public transport. If you have done a similar trip, which day trip felt practical, and what would you skip on a three-day visit? I would be happy to leave some time between excursions.

  My usual response to new bookmarks is to forget them but this one I have already returned to twice, and a look at mirthlinnet pulled me back a third time, the actual return rate to bookmarked sites is the real measure of value and this one is clearing that measure at a notable rate already.
